A TuTu Cute Photo Shoot!!!

I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with awesome little girls this past weekend for Company TuTu Cute. They have THE CUTEST Tu-Tu's for those girly girls. Any ages...from newborn and up! I'm thinking about ordering myself one! :) They are the best to photograph your girls in! I photo'd two baby girls and then the winners and contestants of the Miss Runway Competition to show off these beautiful creations! The 15th Annual American Black Film Festival

I had the pleasure of covering the ABFF last night on the Red Carpet of Michael Baisden's "Do Women Know What They Want" Film Screening for City Nights TV. I really enjoyed myself...besides Damon Wayans bumping into me and being so close that I couldn't take a picture (which upset me) I had an awesome time capturing interviews and photos of the celebrities that were there to support! Michael Baisden, along with others such as his sidekick George Willborn, Actress Aunjanue Ellis, and 2010 Miss Black USA Osas Ighodaro were all there! I will be attending tonight as well for Saturday's screenings for Eric Benet's "Trinity GoodHeart" (I'm excited to see him) :) and the ABFF Honors Ceremony hosted by Anthony Anderson.

38 Years of Unconditional Love!!

My Mommy and Daddy just celebrated their 38 Year Anniversary this past week and I am extremely thankful to both of them for being the best example of what marriage is supposed to be! True and unconditional love radiates off of the two of them. Throughout their journey together they have two WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL daughters and HANDSOME son in laws....and three AMAZING grandchildren: Ashley, JR and AJ...

My parents have a strong and happy marriage. I'm not just saying this because they are my parents but it is a fact. One reason I know is because they have built their marriage around Jehovah God! My mom used to always tell me that the Bible is a blueprint that we have to follow and by following God's Word "The Bible" all things are possible and look what is has brought them; 38 years of a strong bond that has not and cannot be broken.

I want to thank both my parents for being a GREAT example for my husband and I, and I have to make sure that I strive to putting Jehovah and his Word in our marriage! Alberto and I are going on 5 years strong and looking to get to where my parents are...38 years is an accomplishment like no other.

The boys and I just want to say that we love you guys very much and thank you for everything that you have shown and given us!!!

"The Big 4"

Well in just three days my oldest son JR will be turning 4 years old! It's still surreal that I have a four year old son! This fall he will be starting school! :( I am soooooooooo not ready for him to leave from under my wing but it is time. I am excited to see him grow in his education and watch him learn so much! School, Athletics, making friends...Oh my goodness!!! It seems like these past four years have gone by extremely fast.

I know my Quido will grow into a successful little man! He loves to learn new things. The one thing that I think...well let me rephrase that. The one thing I KNOW we will have issues with is the seperation that will happen when JR goes to PreK and AJ is not there with him. JR and AJ are best friends and they hate to go anywhere without each other. If the other one is not there you better believe they are asking for each other and crying trying to figure out why they are not together. I love the fact that they are so close and JR has been the BEST big brother anyone could ask for! To just be three going on four years old..he knows how to take care of his little brother!

In just a few more months he will be going to school and I pray that he makes this transition easy. He has the support of Mommy, Papi, AJ and our family and friends! So I know he will be GREAT!!!!!

JR, you are such a big boy and we love you for who you are and who you will become! We love everything about you; your love for your family, your personality, your crazy humor (like your father), and more!! You are the coolest little guy I know!!! We love JR!!

"Amazing Talent"

Last night I had the pleasure of shooting a Spring Recital at the Little Haiti Cultural Center hosted by Taranika Gordon and one of my Miami Young Wives Club sisters Arnetta Gordon. It was amazing watching what these ladies and others put together for these young girls to dance and show off their talents. The girls did great in each of their dance routines. I was also able to see my MYWC sister do her thing with her poetry. TALK ABOUT AWESOME!! The woman gives me chills when she speaks her poetry. Please follow her blog "Authentic Expressionz" and watch out for her poetry videos that she posts!! They are truly outstanding! I <3 her!! "Butterflies "

I wish I was speaking of the beautiful creatures when referring to the title of this blog "Butterflies" but unfortunately I am not. I have butterflies in my stomach which I always hate!! This happens when I get nervous. Why am I nervous? Well tommorrow I am giving a speech to my husband's 9th grade Freshman class. I shouldn't be nervous because they are just kids, but I am not very good with speeches. I really dislike talking in front of a group of people. If I did enjoy it I would be in the same profession as my husband as a teacher. But I'm not, therefore I really do not want to do it..But I am!!!! I will be speaking of my life in an analogy of a photo. So I will be sharing my "Life Photo" with his class. I am excited and nervous...all in one! But I can do it because I'm a big girl!! :)

Memorial Weekend with the Family!

This past weekend my husband, my two boys, and our puppy Princess Nala went up to Orlando to visit family. And first off I would like to ask everyone for their prayers because my father-in-law is not doing to good with his health. So all prayers are needed! But that is the reason we went up to Orlando. We wanted to spend some time with them and see if there was anything that we could possibly do to help with him getting better. And of course, all of us feel helpless in these types of situations so all we can do is pray! We hope that he gets better SOON!!!!

Since we went up there we decided to take advantage of our Wyndham Ownership benefits!!!! Since becoming Wyndham Timeshare Owners this March...well actually the deed and all finished the beginning of May..so this was our first time using it. Anywho, being an owner of a timeshare is a sure guarantee of being able to vacation any number of times a year at the BEST resorts out there for little or nothing (If we still have points at the time)..lol

We have a number of resorts to choose from to stay at any given time, but because it was Memorial Weekend the only one available was Star Island ( which is an affiliated resort for Wyndham Owners to stay). We really enjoyed it. And the first time walking into our room watching our boys running around jumping from couch to couch to bed so excited...my husband and I just stood back and said...so this is what its like to be a timeshare owner. Being able to take our family ANYWHERE and stay and the best resorts is the best feeling ever. And to think that this opportunity for our children to be able to take their families on the best vacations every year, whenever they want, will be handed down to our boys!! I am so excited for our planned and unplanned vacations in the future!!

I have reserved THE BEST for my bestie's bridal shower/bachelorette party at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. We have a 2 bedroom presidental suite...My husband saw the room and got upset because it was so nice!! YOUR WELCOME CHRISSY!!! LOL I cannot wait for our girl's weekend there!!! I'm sure the boys will decide where they want to go for Ralphy's Bachelor Party soon!! But you see how convenient it is to be a Timeshare Owner!! It is the best!!

Overall, we had a good mini vaca this past weekend. Enjoy the photos below of our boys jumping around with excitement in the resort (I no longer say hotel)...so it is our resort room!! :)
